This Adjunct Faculty member provides didactic and clinical instruction for first and second year Physician Assistant students enrolled in an Associate in Science degree Physician Assistant Program.

  • Classroom teaching in area of clinical expertise
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Serves on committees
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree granted by a Physician Assistant Program from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years clinical practice as a PA or MD
  • Master's Degree as a PA or in a related field preferred
  • Possession of or eligibility for registration to practice as a PA or MD in the State of Florida
  • If a PA: must possess current NCCPA certification
  • Two years of teaching experience in a college setting and knowledge of instructional technology preferred
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
