On Tuesday, June 3, 2008, the Greater Miami Society for Human Resource Management (GMSHRM) will host a three-part event at the Goodwill Industries of South Florida.
Part 1: The TourThe event starts at 9AM with a tour of the impressive Goodwill Industries facility in South Florida. Goodwill Industries of South Florida is a non-profit organization dedicated to training, employing and placing people with disabilities and special needs in community jobs in order to transition to independence. Parking is available in the government garage, across from the front of the Goodwill building. Enjoy a continental breakfast and then tour the Goodwill facility while learning how Goodwill can provide you with trained candidates. Part 2: Seminar"The Business Argument for Focusing on Abilities (Not Disabilities) - The ADA , Compliance, Legal Requirements" Part 3: Lunch and Recruitment SessionStay for a boxed lunch and then meet with trained Goodwill applicants (if you have scheduled the Interviews* in advance with the Goodwill Placement Manager).
