One of our local partners, LISTA – Latinos in Science and Technology (www.a-lista.org) is hosting its annual conference and gala right here in Miami. How exciting is that! Needless to say, this will be a phenomenal opportunity for the local Hispanic business community as well as for those involved in technology-related industries to join forces. Here is an overview. Look forward to your feedback:
The Annual National LISTA Conference will be held on October 30th - right here in Miami . The conference attracts about 400 national Hispanic leaders and business owners interested in technology. The event will consist of three main components: 1. Workshops - four daytime workshops where national and local panelists will tackle the following topics: Green Technology, Healthcare Technology, Business Technology, and Everyday Technology. It is a great opportunity to leverage the expertise of some of our local businesses, professionals and community leaders. 2. Town Hall Meeting - in the late afternoon, the town hall will discuss the "making of a technology" President. Several government and political figures have been invited to discuss the impact of technology in government. 3. Annual Gala - Awesome speakers and several awards will be the center of this evening dinner event. Last year's event attracted over 700 attendees. It was a celebration of Latino Technology Professionals' commitment to excellence through their own abilities, efforts and initiatives. It is a national acknowledgement that increases the visibility of our young professionals and future leaders in corporate America . We expect that Miami event to attract more than 1000 technology, community and business leaders, governmental officials and Latino Technology Professionals to Miami , Florida from across the country. So, mark your calendar – October 30 th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (downtown Miami ). Stay tune fo rmore details!
