LISTA (Latinos in Science and Technology) is hosting its anny Technology and Leadership Summit right here in South Florida. The event is free to the public and a perfect opportunity for local technoloogy professionals to connect with others in their field. Network, learn, and discuss pertinent issues.
What: LISTA Technology Summit The Health Information Technology Initiative panel is composed of health technology professionals with extensive experience in the areas of Emergency Medical Records (EMR) and Health Technology Initiatives. As attention to the use of information technology in health care is intensifying, the widespread adoption of electronic medical records (EMRs) and HIT within the next ten years a possibility, it is imperative that we have a discussion and share information on the use, opportunities and its affect on the Latino community . In addition to digitizing the information that providers use to care for their patients within organizations; clinicians, patients, and policymakers are looking ahead to securely sharing appropriate information electronically among organizations.
