Clinical Manager (Patient Care), Respiratory Special Care Unit.

Our 2 North, Respiratory Special Care Unit (RSCU) is an 20 bed adult Respiratory Care unit. The patient population is comprised of Ventilator, Telemetry and Medical/Surgical patients. The Unit utilizes a team of RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Patient Care Associations (PCAs), dietary, and rehabilitation staff. There is a Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse 24/7. The RSCU provides medical and nursing management to patients with a variety of respiratory diseases and for ventilator dependency. Strong assessment skills, clinical skills and communication skills are required to work in this acute unit.


Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, qualified candidates will assume responsibility for managing the night shift in the department to assure quality patient care. The Clinical Manager is responsible for staffing, patient assignment, and overall management of departmental activities on the designated shift.

Skills / Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess a current Florida RN license, BLS and ACLS. A minimum of three years of telemetry nursing experience required, ICU step down or ventilator management experience highly preferred, combined with a minimum of one year charge nurse experience. Excellent communication, computer and customer service skills required.
