JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for turn buying
Manages Inventory Management
Sets up controls and monitors out of stock
Ensures Service Levels are up to par for products/merchandise
Manages Open to buy
Works directly with Finance on cash flow requirement
Partners with pricing/financial analysts on pricing strategies for products

Works with trade partners and vendors and Category Managers to lower product cost

Comprehends and maintains department standards and follows special department operating procedures

Adheres to weekly work schedules and needs to be flexible to the needs of the business - this may include working weekends, holidays, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills and Education:
Bachelors degree or above preferred.
Procurement or Merchandising Management Systems experience a plus, i.e. JDA.
At least 7 years in retail purchasing/procurement management required.
Candidate must posess patience and desire to build systems, processes and structure.
Candidate must have the ability to complete tasks in an informal, fast paced, changing environment.
