Jobing Description

General Summary of Duties :
Serve as official greeter of guests and visitors throughout areas of the property and luggage handling by providing courteous and competent services to ensure guests satisfaction.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands :
Requires mobility.
Requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
Ability to push and/or pull cabinet weighing up to fifteen pounds.
Ability to reach twelve to twenty-four inches across counter space to hand and retrieve keys and paperwork.
Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors.
Normal vision and hearing range.
Typical Working Conditions :
Work is performed in an office environment; and ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following) :
1.
Process guests for check-in on arrival and check-out on departure. 2.
Monitor lobby traffic and suggest adjustments on staffing levels if required. 3.
Anticipate guest needs and resolve guest concerns and requests. 4.
Assist concierge services, VIP services, baggage, parking, and other special services as required. 5.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Performance Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities) :
Knowledge of the basic functions of hotel operations.
Ability to operate basic office equipment (i.e., computer, calculator, fax, and multi-line telephone system).
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to perform basic math skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and guests.
Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
Education :
High school education or equivalent.
Experience :
Front desk/customer service experience preferred.
License/Certificate :
None.
