Isle of Capri Casinos - Pompano Park is currently seeking a Casino Housekeeper!

SCOPE AND MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Maintain high standards of maintenance and cleanliness in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. GENERAL

Responsible for cleaning all slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.

Responsible for vacuuming all floors.

Cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking all restrooms.

Mopping floors around the bars, restrooms and entrance.

Responsible for removing all trash and debris from machines, floors, and trash cans. Trash and debris to be deposited in the outside dumpsters.

Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.

Participate in routine drills as assigned.

Paint; lubricate machinery and equipment as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

2. EQUIPMENT/TECHNICAL

Knowledgeable in the operation of a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, buffer, ladder, Tommie lift, hand tools and a shop vac. Use of chemicals for cleaning and personal protective equipment. Use of hand radio.

3. WORK AREA

Casino environment, on a boat and/or barge. May be outdoors. Exposed to loud noise, smoke, bright lights, wet areas, and temperatures that vary. Use of ladder, stairs, elevator, and escalator.

4. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing 5%
Lifting 20% (overhead, arms length up to 20 lbs., up to 100 lbs with assistance)
Bending 30% (from waist)
Walking 40%
Climbing 5%

5. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Zero to one-year experience in cleaning public buildings and/or facilities. Must complete Putting People First (PPF) and Power to Please (PTP) training.

6. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Ability to read, follow instructions, and understand visual aids. Ability to use a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, hand tools, Tommie lift, buffer, ladders, and shop vacuum. Knowledge of safety guidelines. Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of guests at all times. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive or confined environment. Knowledge of coast guard regulations.

7. GUEST RELATIONS

Always maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude. Knowledge of all special events and promotions available to guests.
