JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
A registered nurse who, after additional education and/or training is specialized in perioperative, perianesthesia, pain, endoscopy and/or cardiovascular interventional nursing practice. Provides direct nursing care for pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patients. Works directly with physicians in planning and implementing patient care. Acts as a resource to peers and as preceptor to new employees. Maintains RN II specialty competencies. Under direction of Nurse Manager, provides direction and supervision of surgical/CU technicians and/or other ancillary staff.

POSITION REQUIREMENT - CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

Certifications: ACLS required; SGRN preferred; CPAN, CAPA preferred.
Licenses: FL RN required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION/TRAINING/SKILLS

Associate Degree preferred. Bachelors Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE TRAINING:

Previous experience/training in Pre/Post Procedure, Endoscopy, Pain and Cardiovascular Interventional Procedures.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

Computer knowledge preferred. BCLS required; ACLS required in all other areas, PALS for Pre/Post procedure.
