Job Overview:  The Vice President of Physician Relations is responsible for developing and executing the national Physician Relations strategy.  The individual will lead the team charged with increasing physician patient referrals to CTCA, promoting oncology specialty services to the physician community, developing and maintaining strong relationships between the CTCA and the referring physician community nationally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a national strategy to increase patient volume driven by medical referrals to CTCA including referral patterns and trend
  • Support the full range of services related to building an effective referral program including, training, account management, CRM oversight, and  market analytics
  • Responsible for defining and operationalizing the execution of plans for understanding referring physician needs in order to build and enhance existing relationships
  • Manage the Physician Relations management team to execute consistent outreach and territory strategy for referral development
  • Provide training and coaching to ensure consistent and successful execution of national strategy
  • Partner closely with RMC leadership to ensure strategy alignment in order to develop medical referral goals that support regional patient volume
  • Partner with Medicine & Science to develop and  implement operational process that supports the referral requirements of external physicians and medical facilities.
  • Partner with Business Development to support affiliation development and referral pull-through
  • Work closely with payer access to support the development of regional network

Skills, Education and Additional Information:

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Public Relations or a clinical field required; MBA or MHA desired
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant marketing, sales management and/or healthcare experience
  • 8-10 years of experience working with medical professionals and/or operational marketing preferred
  • Experience with a high-quality consumer brand
  • Experience with budgeting, reporting, and analysis with a strong background with Microsoft Excel and CRM Tools
  • Proven track record of successful relationship building and nurturing with professionals
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, collaborative and analytical skills with a customer focus
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team building capability
  • Must be able to foster and maintain sound working relationships
  • Proven Success with Strategy Development for a National Program
