The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, selecting and scheduling student volunteers (high school students ages 15-18 and college students). Provides orientation to newly recruited student volunteers and ensures that all volunteers receive proper training. Assists Director in developing volunteer assignments and designing effective ways of recognizing and rewarding the efforts of student volunteers. Provides ongoing support and guidance for student volunteers. Keeps detailed records of student volunteers using Volunteer Management software.

  • BS / BA in health administration, human resources or comparable field is preferred, or a minimum of five years' experience in a related role and a high school diploma.
  • Excellent organizational and team coordination abilities. Strong administrative skills. Proficient in basic computer applications. A pleasant, outgoing personality. Ability to work with a diverse group of student volunteers. Willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job.
