Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for observing, monitoring and documenting Seminole Tribe of Florida's Tribal Government and associated business operations through owned and operated video/surveillance equipment while ensuring compliance with STOF approved policies, and procedures, well as any applicable local, state or federal laws and regulations. The Surveillance Agent is responsible for conducting daily routine observation of activities on Tribal Reservations, Tribal owned lands and other associated properties, in order to identify procedural infractions and/or criminal activity. The incumbent, notifies Management and Supervisors of any/all suspicious activities and/or irregular circumstances and any other special observation request; and documents procedural infraction, suspicious activity, violations of applicable laws to ensure the integrity and maintenance of Tribal lands and the safety and well-being of Tribal Members, Tribal Government Employees and visitors. High School diploma or equivalent GED required. An associate's Degree from an accredited American university or college, is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with video surveillance is required. Prior experience with data analysis and other technological applications is preferred. Ability to operate computers, cameras, monitors, radios and other surveillance equipment used in the performance of their duties, is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License, is required. Thorough knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) - completion of ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, and IS-800, is preferred. Current or ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (Secret), is preferred. Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Must be able to pass the Public Safety Department Homeland Security background check and Voice Stress Analysis. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. This position is considered an essential position within the Public Safety Department. Therefore, employees designated as essential may be required to report to duty as requested prior to, during, and after declared emergencies.
